The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has issued show cause notices under section 5 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 for Non- Compliance of Plastic Waste Rule, 2016 (as amended). This directive has targeted on Producer(P), Importer (I) and Brand Owner (BO) who have failed to fulfill their Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations.
